A special guest is coming to market. Butch Davis has culinary training in the French-style of cooking and will be joining us this week. Butch is also an accomplished gardener and grows many of his own vegetables for use in his kitchen. Come and talk with the chef to learn about fresh ingredients, local foods and new dishes you can create in your own kitchen using items from market vendors.
This week’s chef visit is the prelude to the Chef At The Market event. Chef at the Market is a fun, free community event/live cooking demonstration. The live cooking demonstration will be held on August 30, 2013 at the Potter County Farmers’ Market.
Vendor Spotlight — Alpaca Creations and Cinco C’s Alpacas
Did you know that the Potter County Farmers Market has some great new vendors this year? At the market, you can now find alpacas, fleece, roving, yarn and alpaca fiber products. And, have you seen the alpaca apparel? These products include hand knit key hole scarves, long scarves, convertible and fingerless mittens, insoles, shawls, socks, hats, hand spun and hand dyed yarn. One would expect to find such artistry on display in the prestigious shops on Fifth Avenue. Oh but, you can find it right here on North East Street in Coudersport, Pennsylvania at the Potter County Farmer Market. Come and see! Our regular hours are each Friday during the hours of 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. continuing until the Falling Leaves Festival.
